Systems of certification of products and services
Certification is a way of controlling the quality of goods and services on the consumer′s market. Certification should be mandatory as the customer should be sure of the quality and reliability of products and services of the company he applies to. Certification is a procedure of confirmation of conformity of the products or services to requirements of technical regulations, provisions of standards or terms of conventions conducted by a third, independent party. Certification confirms the stated quality of goods. In Russia, subsequently to transition to the market economy, one can observe the continuing process of harmonization of Russian standards with European and international ones. For some groups of products this harmonization makes up almost 100%. However, in some fields that directly influence the national security of Russia, Russian standards will not ever be harmonized with international ones and the certification system itself will ever be closed.
